Ok so this is the Ukraine's entry, Verka SERDUCHKA, think its a bloke somehow...... I have a feeling where future contests could be heading!!

Well well, it seems there is a good chance we may have a member of Scooch on the show, fingers crossed, but we have a contact!!
I will spend some time at the weekend reviewing the other songs for this years Competition, I have to say the Ukranian entry is bizzare, having trouble working out the sex of the lead singer.....

Well here it is, not the gorgeous blonde but DQ the triumphant Danish drag queen!

Well I have been doing some Prep for the Eurovision Special on May 12th, part of this has been to view the entrants for this years extravaganza, and my god are we in for a treat... Denmark looks like a sure fire cert for some of Terry Wogans comments, the song is Drama Queen, by DQ, now DQ appears in a wonderful dress, which is all well and good until I tell you his real name is probably Stig or something.. yes DQ is a drag queen, the song is not bad but the adams apple is a bit off putting.
My favourite at the moment is Sweden's entry. The Ark, with a song called The Worrying Kind, very 1970s has a hint of Bay City Rollers and Gary Glitter thrown in for good measure, and a lead singer who has shaved the 70s chest hair off and replaced them with sequins, hopefully hand glued by his own mother... very good.
I have a feeling the contest is going to be very good this year.
On the next Euro preview we will look at Israels entry which is bizarre and a few of the weird ones and will find a pic of the gorgeous blonde who is taking part.
On or BRFM show we have some great guests being lined up and a guess the county quiz with a prize!! One of the guests on the show is a very big name, until its confirmed and the interview is done I can say nothing, but believe me when I say this one is a huge name.
Catch up soon
Yours in Sequins

Keep May 12th free, The Sport Show will be off air for the day, in its place will the Eurovision Song Contest Special, 3 hours of music, interviews and fact and figures about the worlds most infamous song contest, presented by me with Bertie, Dave Lockwood, Matt and maybe Simon (if recovered from the bean extravaganza). We hope to have at least one winner of the contest on the show as well as a man famous for scoring nil points! and many more guests. We will have be chatting to the UK's leading expert on all things Eurovision (no, not Terry Wogan) live from Finland where this years competition is being held. So thats May 12th 4pm - 7pm, on 95.6 fm and live streaming on www.brfm.net.

I am very dissapointed to report that I will not be able to take part in the London - Paris ride in June, I have not been able to cycle for the past few weeks because of my knee, the knee is not going to be able to take the training required let alone the 300 miles in 4 days. Lee is prepared to carry on and we will ease a new younger and fitter rider into my spot, and we will follow there progress on this blog, also we will be fundraising here for their trip and for Simons Baked Bean Challenge.
We need to raise £250 to get Simon into the bath on April 7th at Sittingbourne FC, to donate go to http://www.justgiving.com/bakedbeans, I will post the link on the side panel here on the blog.
I will not be on BRFM tomorrow, I am absolutley knackered and have had a hard week so need to rest up a bit. Dave W will be on and Simon will join him later, so tune in 95.6fm or www.brfm.net .

Sorry for no postings lately, there has not been much to report, until now, it is looking increasing unlikely that my knee can take the punishment of 300 miles in 4 days, and I will be speaking to my Dr later this week to confirm this, the years of playing football and getting whacked seem to have taken their toll, I will be very dissapointed if this is the case, but Lee is going to soldier on and we have a substitute lined to take my place if required.
On the Radio front last weekend was very busy, I did my normal sports show and ten 9-12 Saturday night, thanks to Colonel Bertie and Sue who came down and helped out, we spent the entire evening playing just what we wanted, a good mix of 60s, 70s and 80s and not an modern tune to be heard, all good fun.
Dave and Simon failed their challenges so one is jumping out of the plane and the other is spending his time in a bath full of beans! details of how you can donate coming soon.

Right a slight change to Saturdays show, John 'The Legend' Pitts is, I am told going to Tenerife.... a fine way for a Club Secretary and BRFM's star match reporter to behave! so we will have his brother, Peter Pitts, who looks and sound remarkably like his brother, only difference may be the lack of vitriol aimed at the match officials..... Also we are going international with a gauranteed 2 listeners from Melbourne Australia.

Now Simon has forwarded his prediction for Saturday's challenge, he is going for Tooting to win 2-1, Simon needs to get this one spot on, I have the beans on order already.

Now those of you with kids may have been forced to sit through hours and hours of Hannah Montana, So Raven and other toot now being shown on The Disney Channel, now it has got so bad that I have taken to singing the theme tune to Hannah Montana whilst at work, so drastic action is required, so I have ordered an additional Sky box for the boys bedroom, enough is enough, if he wants to watch that rubbish then he can watch it in his bedroom, it is a pure coincidence that the Cricket World Cup is starting in 2 weeks honest guv....
