Here is one of the pics of the bad behaviour last weekend! Great fun.

A quieter weekend is planned partly because Horror Boy is home, and because I have removed the batteries from his Xmas present supplied by my big brother, who gives a 12 year old a finger drumkit????

I am concerned about a friend, she is having dreams about spanking! I believe she has watched The Secretary far too much!

25 January 2009

Had a great night last night, an old friend was over from Ireland, and his wife had booked a VIP room for us to party in, I have to admit the idea of going somehwhere with a VIP room is not somehting I am used to but I have to say it was excellent, there were about 20 of us in there, it was cozy but great fun, saw a few old friends I had not seen in a long time so there was a huge amount of catching up, we did notice that in the rest of the place there appeared to be a rather huge amount of mutton!

I did endeavor to stick to Gin and Tonics, but the girlies where drinking some radioactive looking blue cocktail, which was deceptively sweet tasting and appeared by taste to lack any alcoholic content, it also turned your tonghue blue, sadly it appears that there ia a rather large amount of alcohol in it, and the poor girls were last seen staggering off in a bit of a state.
3 of us at the end of the evening decided a kebab was required, normally I would not touch the things, but with a few drinks inside me I was on a mission, sadly no kebab shop was forthcoming until we were heading home in our cab, which lead to the eldest member of the trio hanging out of the kebab shouting Kebab!!!!

Cricket Friday evening was apainful experience, I have two very very large bruises developing and a slight limp!

Busy busy busy again this week, Hammersmith has had the pleasure of my company all week...knackered now! Got an interview next week in the Stratford Area.....good money so fingers crossed, and an even better opportunity looms as well!
The boy is at his mothers this weekend so the old fella is off the leash and is determined to make the most of it! So watch out Greenwich here I come....
This evening its cricket practice, feeling knackered already so maybe an early night as getting up at 5.30 every morning is killing me!

I have discovered two new podcasts. firstly Stephen Fry's podgram, a very good listen as Mr Fry just talks and shows why the man is a national treasure, second one is Phill and Phil's perfect Ten, an absolute scream, 30 minutes of comedy from Phil Jupitus and Phil Wilding, I will neber ever look at Angela Lansbury in the same light again......

The Star Cricket Team

Here are a few pics of yours truly in action last summer at Billericay, enjoy!
Well its beena tad busy here at Finch towers, work has kept me amused, I turned down the job at a rather well known institution, looking into the job it would have been very very dull.
Rehearsals are going well, looks like I am kind of doing a solo, great song with me singing the song and the cast backing me up!
Cricket practice was good Friday, our first of the year, always a good evening, there were 3 Finch's in attendance, Old Finch went into bat first, which meant I was steaming in at him, sadly no wicket for me on this little spell, then up steps young Finch and wallop! the little sod has his wicket, cue young Finch doing his war dance, next up was me, the other two Finch's are champing at the bit, and double wallop, both young Finch and Old Finch are celebrating, me I was stunned, in my defence it was the first time I had picked up a bat since September, towards the end of the session Old Finch was back in, by now I was building up a head of steam.....wallop, the tell tale sound of stumps clattering was the signal for me to start my celebrations. A very good session, and we picked up our photos from last season, all very good, I may scan them in and post some of them!
Comig home after cricket was hard going, my knee buckled about 200 yards from home and I had to be helped home by Young Finch who then made me a cup of tea and ran me a bath! It all felt much better Saturday and there were a few aches and pains but nothing too bad, so I may have got away with it.

Winter Camp

Well winter camp was a roaring success, despite the temperature dropping to -9 on site Friday evening our little tent was very snug. The Scouts had a great time and at no stage did they complain about the cold.
For our amusement I took along a remote control fart box, and it really led to a huge amount of amusement for the supposed adults, Mark (in the photo with me above) had the speaker in his jacket pocket and I had the remote control, the scenario was that Mark wold ander up to groups and ask where the toilet was, just as he finished asking I would let rip, the reactions were amazing, most Scouts would laugh their socks off, but the leaders would display the true English stiff upper lip and direct Mark who by now would be letting rip again, two incidents were memorable, Mark trudged into the St John's Ambulance tent and asked if they had any imodium, all hell was let loose with the machine and our friendly St Johns bod became very concerned for Marks well being, until Mark started giggling and produced the speaker to the now laughing St Johns fella, sadly in the bar Saturday night it did not go down so well, Mark opened the door into the bar and we let rip, if looks could kill! one humourless couple looked like they wanted Mark hung drawn and quartered, still it cleared a path directly to the bar!

One of my ambitions is to take part in a round the world yacht race, and previously I had done bugger all abut achieving the ambition, until now, I am on the first steps of the selection process for the round the world yach race organised by Robin Knox Johnson, who I sailed with during my time at a certain museum, apparently I will be heading off for selection in the spring and if selected will begin training in August.

A nice picture I hear you say, yes indeed it is, and I think in all honesty it's the clothing I need for the weekend ahead. As District Health and Safety Advisor I thought it would be a rather good idea if I went away camping with groups now and again, so there I agreed with an old mate that I would come on his next camp, I had visions of warm summers days under canvas, cooking on an open fire, in my shorts and t-shirt how wrong could one man be? The camp is this weekend, as I write its -3 in the daytime! and I am off to camp in Essex this Friday....... sweet mary mother of god..... the good news is its an activity camp with the follwoing lined up, Digger Challenge, Outdoor Quasar, Climbing and abseiling on the Gilwell wall, plus also a revolving wall. Simulator, Zorbing, Robot Wars, Rocket Building, Dodgems, Challenge Valley, Laser Clay and the old favourites to include Shooting and Archery, Crafts, Gilwell's very own Radio Station, Water Slide, Disco, Camp Fire, Cinema, Prussiking, Radio Orienteering, Wide Games and Quad Bikes/Go Karts. All osunds fun, and I am told my tent is lovely.......help.

You may recall in my last post I mentioned i would only wear a dress in the show if it was absolutley essential, well at rehearsals todayI was measured for a skirt!!! gawd

I have stated to the Producer that under no circumstances am I prepared to wear womens clothing during the show,.......unless it is artisticaly intergral to the role!
